Children & Families Worker
Anglican Diocesan Services
We are seeking a mature and energetic follower of Jesus Christ to help us grow a church where children and families are deeply known, genuinely loved, and steadily formed as disciples of Christ.
This role centres on our 9.30am Sunday service, where you will lead our ministry with children and help create clear, welcoming pathways for families — from baptism through to active participation in the life of the church.
You will:
- Lead and shape Kids' Church, nurturing children in faith.
- Build relationships with families, especially around baptism.
- Create points of connection through a midweek playgroup.
- Help run events and gatherings that encourage discipleship and outreach.
We are looking for someone with a living faith in Christ, who loves working with
children and families, and who is eager to see people grow in trust and obedience to
Jesus.
A full position description is available here. Expressions of interest, including at least two references, should be sent to rector@stjohnscanberra.org by 29 May.
