Manager - Asset, Facilities and Fleet

(Full time permanent position)

$115,000 base salary + Super + RDO + Flexible Working

Thomastown (regular travel to other sites required)

Your new role

The Manager - Asset, Facilities and Fleet is a key business partner who will enable Kids First to meet it strategic objectives by ensuring that the assets, facilities and fleet are meeting the needs of the business. They will achieve this by:

  • Having oversight of all procurement activities at Kids First, ensuring quality and cost effectiveness of supplier products and services, and standardising approaches for supplier selection, onboarding and evaluation.
  • Developing a long-term accommodation plan for the organisation, managing lease negotiations and overseeing the effective upkeep and maintenance of all facilities.
  • Managing the operation of the fleet of vehicles at Kids First to most effectively support service delivery and overseeing the effective upkeep and maintenance of the fleet.
  • Oversee the administration team to ensure a welcoming environment is provided for clients, staff and visitors.
  • Providing strategic advice to the Executive and Senior Leadership Team on matters relating to procurement, fleet and property to assist them in making informed decisions.
  • Regular reporting to the Executive team including accountability of budgets for facilities and fleet.

About you

  • Previous experience in planning, managing and maintaining facilities and fleet, preferably on a national scale.
  • A passionate business partner with strong collaboration skills, including the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders.
  • Successful at building high-performance teams and leading change to improve the organisation.
  • Have strong negotiation skills as demonstrated when dealing with suppliers and landlords as well as excellent communication skills for presenting information to other stakeholders such as the Board and staff.
  • Previous experience in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to facilities and fleet.
  • Previous experience in the not-for-profit sector would be highly valued.
