Summary of role
We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Language Teachers to join our vibrant and student-focused K-12 Anglican college. We are inviting applications from qualified Language teachers with demonstrated experience in teaching French (priority) and Japanese across Kindergarten to Year 12 to join our dynamic team in a full time or part time fixed-term capacity for the 2026 academic year.
The successful candidate will be a passionate educator committed to fostering a love of languages and intercultural understanding among students. This position is available as either full-time or part-time, depending on the candidate's experience and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated language programs in French (main focus) and Japanese across various year levels (K-12).
- Contribute to the development and refinement of curriculum materials in line with NESA outcomes and the College's educational framework.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all students to achieve their potential.
- Engage in pastoral care and co-curricular responsibilities including camps and excursions, as part of the broader College community.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and technology to enhance student learning.
- Participate in College events and promote the language program within the school and wider community.
Essential Criteria:
- Teaching qualifications and current NESA accreditation.
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in teaching languages with a high priority of French, with Japanese as also desirable.
- Ability to teach across the full K-12 spectrum.
- Strong understanding of the NSW Curriculum and assessment practices.
- Commitment to child safety and working within a child-safe environment.
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance.
Desirable Criteria:
- A creative mind and student centered pedagogical practices.
- Ability to integrate ICT and innovative practices into the classroom.
