About you
As a part of Bishop Druitt College, you will be a dedicated educator with a strong understanding of evidence-based practices. You will have the ability to communicate with students, parents and staff at all levels, with a diverse range of backgrounds and a wide range of age groups. However, you will know that sometimes the best thing to do is just listen with an open heart.
You will be both qualified and have experience in teaching performing arts, with a strong music focus, in both a primary and secondary environment at the NSW Higher School Certificate level (or equivalent), you will have demonstrated abilities in delivering contemporary teaching pedagogies and be comfortable to engage and lead in a K-12 environment. You will also be willing to be actively involved in collaborative learning and teaching practices for our students.
BDC require all teaching staff to be First Aid /CPR, Child Safety, WH&S and culturally trained, or a willingness to train in these areas.
About the role
We're seeking an inspiring professional to join our Performing Arts faculty at a very exciting time of growth for both our BDC students and our department. After a successful year at BDC in all our Performing Arts disciplines, we are now looking for a permanent full time teacher with experience and passion in music, to join the team in 2025.
