About the role

Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating heavy machinery and being part of a team that delivers an essential service to the community? As a Landfill Operator, you'll play a hands-on role in keeping one of the region's most important waste management facilities running safely, efficiently and sustainably. Every day brings variety, from operating specialised plant and equipment to helping manage environmental outcomes and supporting the delivery of critical waste services that benefit the Coffs Coast community.

Working within a supportive and experienced team, you'll have the opportunity to apply your skills in a dynamic environment where safety, teamwork and continuous improvement are highly valued. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced plant operator looking for a stable career, meaningful work and the chance to make a genuine contribution to environmental sustainability and resource recovery.

About you

You are a safety-conscious and reliable operator who takes pride in delivering quality work and working collaboratively with others. Whether your experience comes from landfill operations, civil construction, mining, waste management or a similar operational environment, you bring sound plant operating skills and a practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving. You enjoy working outdoors, adapting to changing priorities and contributing to a positive team culture. Strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset and a commitment to environmental and operational excellence will help you succeed in this role.

What's on offer?

  • Competitive salary from around $69K - $73K p/a, depending on your capabilities and experience + allowances + 12% superannuation
  • Permanent Full-Time 38 hours per week
  • The seven (7) day rotating roster attracts additional Award entitlements, including 5 weeks of Annual Leave per year.
