Visitor Information Officer - Part time (Crookwell)

Are you passionate about the Upper Lachlan Shire and love helping people? Upper Lachlan Shire Council is seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Visitor Information Officer to join our dynamic rural Council team.

We're looking for someone with a bubbly personality, a strong customer service focus and a genuine interest in enhancing the visitor experience across our region.

About You

To be considered, you will have:

  • Contemporary knowledge and demonstrated experience in providing quality customer service to a diverse range of customers in tourism or retail environments.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Availability to work weekends as part of a roster.
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
  • Current Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one.
  • A Certificate III in Marketing, Tourism or similar is desirable, but not essential.
  • A Food Safety Certificate is desirable, but not essential.

About the Role

Based in the Southern Tablelands of NSW, Upper Lachlan Shire is known for its agricultural industries, rich history and picturesque countryside.

As a Visitor Information Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the efficient operation of the new Visitor Information Centre, located within the pool and park precinct. You will provide friendly, knowledgeable and engaging visitor experiences, helping visitors make the most of their visit while promoting the local area, attractions and services.

This is a part-time position of 32 hours per fortnight, with weekend work and additional hours required during summer and major events.
