  • Permanent Part-time position - 0.8FTE
  • $96,705.44 per annum (pro rata)

At the City of Bunbury, we're committed to effective and accountable management of our contracts and the services they support. We're looking for an organised and detail-focused professional to support contract administration and governance across the organisation.

About the Role

As the Contract Officer, you'll support the effective administration and governance of the City's contracts throughout the contract lifecycle.

You will maintain the City's contract register, monitor contractor compliance requirements and provide practical administrative and procedural support to Contract Managers.

This is a hands-on role that combines contract administration, compliance monitoring and record keeping. You'll work collaboratively with Contract Managers and internal teams to ensure contract information is accurate, requirements are monitored and key contract processes are completed consistently and on time.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining the City's contract register, ensuring details of current contracts are accurate, complete and up to date
  • Recording and monitoring contractor insurance, licences and qualifications in line with the City's contract and insurance requirements
  • Developing and maintaining supporting contract documentation, including communication logs and issue registers
  • Preparing and issuing documentation for contract variations and extension requests for approval
  • Supporting the administration of contractor performance reviews
  • Providing administrative and procedural support to Contract Managers across the contract lifecycle
  • Monitoring key contract requirements and following up with relevant stakeholders where information or documentation is required
  • Supporting consistent and compliant contract management practices across the organisation

About You

You're an organised, methodical and detail-focused professional who takes pride in keeping information accurate and processes on track.

You'll bring strong administration skills, sound judgement and the ability to work confidently with a range of stakeholders. You're comfortable working with policies, procedures and compliance requirements, and can manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Experience in contract administration, compliance, procurement, business administration or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate records and registers
  • The ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and contractual requirements
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to follow up information and communicate requirements clearly
  • The ability to build positive working relationships with Contract Managers, internal teams and external contractors
  • Strong computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office and corporate information systems
