About the Role - English teacher (Years 5-12)
As an English teacher at Clarendon, you will play a pivotal role in developing students' literacy, communication and critical thinking skills. Working within a collaborative and high-performing environment, you will deliver engaging and evidence-based learning experiences for students in Years 5-12, inspiring a love of language, literature and learning. Through innovative teaching and a commitment to student growth, you will support every learner to achieve their potential while fostering confidence, creativity and a lifelong appreciation of reading, writing and effective communication.
Knowledge, skill and qualification requirements:
- Commitment to students' academic, social and emotional development.
- Knowledge of curriculum design, lesson planning and evidence-based teaching practices.
- Ability to analyse and use student data to inform teaching and improve learning outcomes.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and families.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within a high-performing team.
- Demonstrated commitment to Child Safety.
- Willingness to learn, be resilient and agile.
- A valid Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or ability to obtain.
