About the role
The City of Coffs Harbour is seeking an experienced and passionate Team Leader Lifeguard Services to lead the day-to-day operations of our Lifeguard Service. Reporting to the Section Leader Community Facilities, this role is responsible for coordinating patrol operations, emergency response activities, workforce deployment, community education programs and coastal risk management initiatives. You will provide operational leadership during critical incidents, mentor and develop lifeguard staff, build strong stakeholder relationships and drive continuous improvement across the service to ensure safe, professional and effective delivery of beach safety outcomes for our community and visitors.

About you
You are an accomplished lifeguard professional with substantial experience in beach safety, surf lifesaving, aquatic safety or a comparable public safety environment, including previous leadership experience. You possess strong operational judgement, exceptional communication skills and the ability to lead teams in dynamic and high-pressure environments. You bring sound knowledge of coastal risk management, emergency response and contemporary lifeguard practices, complemented by the required qualifications and a commitment to maintaining the physical fitness standards necessary for the role. You are passionate about community safety, stakeholder engagement and developing high-performing teams.

- Competitive Salary (from $100,449.77 p/a) depending on your capabilities and experience + 12% superannuation + take home vehicle
- Permanent Full Time 38 hours per week
