The core mission of Anglicare (NSW South, West & ACT) is to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty for children, young people and families. We have a particular focus on serving vulnerable communities in the ACT and regional, rural NSW.

Anglicare's Housing and Homelessness Services provide client focused and outcome-based case management and supports to families and individuals who are experiencing housing instability, including women (and their children) who have experienced domestic or family violence, in Goulburn and Yass.

Due to the increasing demand for our services in Goulburn we have opportunities available within our integrated Housing and Homelessness team. Reporting to the Housing and Homelessness Coordinator, our Case Managers play a key role in providing intensive, practical, and flexible case management support to clients who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and often have high or complex needs. These roles involve conducting comprehensive assessments, developing collaborative safety plans and case plans, and supporting clients to access and maintain stable housing.

A brief outline of the Position Description includes:

  • Provide initial and ongoing assessment of participant needs.
  • Conduct thorough client risk assessments and develop safety plans, particularly for women, children, and families where domestic and family violence (DFV) has been identified.
  • Develop and implement case plans, including individual and family oriented, in collaboration with other engaged services and supports to address their short-term and long-term needs.
  • Advocate and assist participants to access housing and specialist services for example, drug or alcohol, mental health, legal, domestic and family violence, Financial Counselling.
  • Assist clients to navigate pathways to long‑term housing, including private rental, community housing, and social and affordable housing options.
  • Provide practical support with housing applications, rental references, documentation, and understanding eligibility requirements.
  • Rostered on-call duties, including weekends, may also be required.

About You

The most important attribute that you can bring to this role is your engaging, helpful and friendly nature. You will be an experienced case manager who is motivated, organised and comfortable working with people with multiple and complex needs. You also have a sound understanding of the impacts of family violence and trauma on the cycle of homelessness.

You will be required to have a minimum Diploma in Community Services or a similar qualification and a minimum of two years' experience in a related case management role.
