An outstanding opportunity has arisen within our Manufacturing and Technical Division in Braeside for an experienced Supply Planner / Procurement Specialist who can take ownership of planning and material supply for a complex manufacturing environment.
This is not an administrative purchasing role.
What You'll Be Responsible For
• Supply planning and procurement execution.
• Demand-driven purchasing and replenishment planning.
• MRP management and inventory optimisation.
• BOM analysis and component planning.
• Supplier performance and relationship management.
• Supply risk mitigation and shortage resolution.
• New product introduction support.
• Inventory control and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in a manufacturing supply planning environment and be comfortable making commercial decisions based on data, analysis and operational requirements.
Essential Experience
- Extensive experience in Supply Planning, Production Planning, Procurement or Materials Planning within manufacturing.
- Strong working knowledge of MRP systems.
- Experience managing both overseas and local suppliers.
- Experience planning components and finished goods using Bills of Material.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Ability to identify root causes of supply issues
- Sound understanding of inventory management principles.
- Experience balancing service levels, inventory investment and supplier constraints.
