With multiple vacancies available, this is a rare opportunity to secure a role within our Parks and Gardens team.
Our team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the municipality's valued parks, gardens, sportsgrounds, streetscapes and open spaces, helping to create safe, visually appealing and sustainable places that improve the liveability and wellbeing of our community.

This is an opportunity for skilled and experienced horticulture and parks maintenance professionals to join the Parks and Gardens team at Maribyrnong.
Key Responsibilities
This on-ground position is responsible for delivery of parks and sportsgrounds maintenance activities, including mowing, brushcutting, weed control, planting, pruning, mulching and minor irrigation works. Positions are available in both the parks maintenance and the sports maintenance teams.
To be considered for this role, you will have the following:
- Experience delivering Parks maintenance and horticultural works across multiple sites.
- Ability to maintain and safely use a variety of plant, equipment and tools used in parks maintenance and horticulture activities.
- Medium Rigid Driver's License.
- No relevant criminal record found in a Police Check.
- Required to have and maintain, at all times where required for the performance of your duties or otherwise by Council, a valid, unrestricted Working with Children Check.
