About the role
This role is responsible for coordinating the planning, delivery and monitoring of maintenance works across parks, gardens, reserves, roadways, Botanic Gardens and cemeteries within the Coffs Harbour LGA. You will lead and support operational teams, ensuring work programs are delivered on time, within budget and aligned with Council standards and priorities.
The position provides technical advice, manages resources and performance, contributes to planning and budgeting processes, and supports continuous improvement across Open Space Services. You will also play a key role in staff development, customer service delivery, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

About you
You hold a Certificate or Diploma in Horticulture (or similar) with extensive experience in parks or open space maintenance, along with a current Class C driver's licence and White Card. You bring strong leadership capability with proven experience managing operational teams, budgets and work programs. You have highly developed communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, supported by sound computer literacy and a commitment to safe work practices.
What's on offer?
- Competitive Salary (from $93,308.27 p/a) depending on your capabilities and experience + 12% superannuation + take home vehicle
- Temporary full-time position with 38 hours per week
