About the role
As the Superintendent Moonee Water Reclamation Plant, you will play a vital role in operating, maintaining, and optimising the City's Water Reclamation Plants and associated systems. You will lead day-to-day plant operations, ensure compliance with environmental standards and EPA licence requirements, and support a high-performing team delivering essential services to the community.
This position combines technical expertise, leadership, and operational oversight; managing treatment processes, interpreting water quality data, coordinating maintenance, and supervising staff and contractors. You will also contribute to system improvements, sustainability initiatives, and safe workplace practices while ensuring reliable and compliant water treatment outcomes.

About you
You are an experienced water or wastewater professional with strong technical knowledge of treatment processes, including activated sludge systems, nutrient removal, and reclaimed water operations. You bring proven experience working with SCADA and telemetry systems, as well as a solid understanding of environmental regulations and safety standards. You are confident in supervising teams, supporting development, and working collaboratively across stakeholders, while maintaining strong communication, record-keeping and problem-solving capabilities in a dynamic operational environment.
