Supervisor Wastewater Investigations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Supervisor Wastewater Investigations to lead the investigation and identification of defects across the City's wastewater network.

In this role, you will oversee field-based investigation activities including smoke testing, CCTV inspections and defect rectification works. You'll lead and support a small team, coordinate contractors, and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with Council standards.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in improving asset performance, maintaining accurate data and supporting long-term infrastructure planning. This position offers a great balance of leadership, technical oversight and operational delivery.

About you

You are a hands-on and capable leader with strong experience in wastewater operations or infrastructure investigations. You bring a practical understanding of asset inspection, defect identification and maintenance of water or wastewater systems, along with the ability to lead field crews and contractors effectively. Your communication skills allow you to engage positively with stakeholders, customers and team members, and you are confident planning works, managing risk and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. You are organised, solution-focused and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes while supporting your team's development and performance.
