Are you the kind of teacher who sparks curiosity, inspires critical thinking, and helps students see the real-world possibilities that science and mathematics can unlock?

Clarence Valley Anglican School is seeking a passionate educator to join our Secondary team from Term 4, 2026. Our strongest preference is for a teacher who can deliver year 7 -12 Chemistry and Physics, however we are equally interested in hearing from talented Science teachers who can contribute across our K-12 learning environment.

We are flexible in shaping this role around the right candidate. Whether you're an experienced teacher seeking a more rewarding teaching environment or a graduate looking for mentorship and professional growth, we want to hear from you. We have the following:

  • Full-time opportunities available for teachers able to teach Chemistry, Physics and Science.
  • Experience teaching Year 7 -12
  • Part-time and flexible arrangements available for teachers specialising in one or two subject areas.

Why Teachers Love Working Here

Unlike many larger schools, Clarence Valley Anglican School offers the opportunity to work with smaller class sizes, allowing teachers to focus on what matters most quality teaching, meaningful student engagement and improved learning outcomes.

This is a place where you can genuinely know your students, tailor your teaching approach, and see the impact of your work every day.

For experienced educators, it offers the chance to step away from overcrowded classrooms and rediscover the enjoyment of teaching.

For graduate teachers, it provides a supportive environment where you can develop your confidence, learn from experienced colleagues and establish strong foundations for a successful teaching career.

About the Role

As a Secondary Teacher, you will deliver engaging and challenging learning experiences aligned with NESA curriculum requirements, supporting students from Years 7-12. The role places a strong emphasis on fostering academic excellence, scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and student wellbeing. You will also contribute to the broader life of the school through collaboration, pastoral care and co-curricular involvement.
