About us

For over 25 years Mental Health Australia has advocated for mental health reform, and we continue to drive policy changes and proactively put mental health on the agenda.

We have over 150 members, including service providers, professional bodies, organisations representing people with mental health challenges and their family, carers and kin, researchers and state and territory peak bodies.

As the national peak for mental health, we unite the mental health sector to present a cohesive voice to government, and provide practical policy solutions to influence decision-making, which in turn, improves the mental health system and the mental health of people in Australia. We work to strengthen the impact and influence of the mental health sector and embed a human rights approach across the mental health system.

The role

The Senior Project Officer - Embrace Suicide Prevention Pilot, is responsible for leading the delivery of initiatives that strengthen multicultural approaches to suicide prevention across Australia.

The role builds and deepens sector development across the suicide prevention, multicultural and lived experience sectors. The position plays a key role in strengthening Embrace as a national platform by building and maintaining strategic relationships, facilitating knowledge sharing, and delivering projects and resources that enhance sector capability, promote community awareness, and centre lived experience in multicultural suicide prevention.
