At the City of Coffs Harbour, we're looking for a motivated and community-minded Project Engineer to join our Coastal Works team. Whether you're an experienced professional or a recent graduate ready to launch your career, this is your opportunity to work on meaningful infrastructure projects that make a real difference.
About the role
As a Project Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering civil construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time and within budget. You'll:
- Manage and deliver civil infrastructure and construction projects
- Coordinate contracts, tenders and project delivery
- Monitor budgets, timelines and project performance
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards
- Engage with stakeholders, contractors and the community
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the team

About you
Whether you're an experienced professional or recent graduate who is motivated and proactive, we want to hear from you!
You will bring:
- A degree in Engineering and a current Class C Driver Licence
- Solid communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues, contractors, stakeholders and the community
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well within a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the confidence to think critically and contribute ideas
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement

What's on offer?
- Competitive salary in the range of $118.5K - $125K (including allowances), depending on your capabilities and experience. There may be scope to negotiate a higher remuneration package for an exceptional candidate.
- + 12% superannuation
- Permanent Full Time 35 hours per week
