Home Library Service Officer

About the role

Play a vital role in connecting our community to essential library services, supporting customers who are unable to visit our branches due to age, mobility or other barriers.

As the Home Library Service Officer, you will coordinate a personalised outreach service that promotes inclusion, independence and wellbeing - helping customers stay connected to their community through reading, information and meaningful engagement.

You'll manage all aspects of the Home Library Service, including client engagement, tailored resource selection and delivery coordination, while supporting and guiding volunteers who help bring this service to life.

The role also contributes to frontline library services and broader Cultural Services programs, ensuring a consistently high-quality and inclusive customer experience across all touchpoints.

About you

You bring experience delivering library or outreach services, with a strong customer focus and a genuine passion for supporting diverse community members, including those who may be vulnerable or housebound.

You are organised, adaptable and digitally capable, with the confidence to coordinate volunteers and manage competing priorities, all while delivering inclusive, person-centred services backed by a qualification in Library and Information Services.
