Reporting to the National Inventory & SOP Manager, this new position combines hands-on inventory analysis with team leadership, process improvement, and stakeholder collaboration to optimise stock availability, reduce risk, and support operational performance.
What You'll Be Doing
- Ensure inventory strategies are aligned to demand, supply, and business priorities
- Collaborate closely Sales on forecasting, challenging assumptions and translating sales inputs into robust, data‑driven inventory and replenishment plans
- Analyse inventory data to identify trends, risks, variances, and improvement opportunities
- Monitor stock levels, ageing, turnover, excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation activities
- Investigate discrepancies between physical stock and system records and implement corrective actions
- Support demand planning, replenishment, and forecasting processes using data-driven insights
- Maintain and improve inventory KPIs such as stock accuracy, service levels, and inventory turns
- Lead, coach, and develop inventory analysts or inventory control team members
- Allocate workload, set priorities, and ensure deadlines and service levels are met
- Provide training and guidance on inventory processes, systems, and best practices
- Conduct performance reviews, support skill development, and foster a collaborative team culture
- Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for inventory-related issues
- Conduct gap analysis and skillset review
What You'll Bring
- Strong experience in inventory analysis, inventory control, or supply chain roles
- Proven ability to lead, coach, or supervise team members
- Advanced data analysis skills, particularly in Excel and inventory systems (ERP/WMS)
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience developing or working with SOPs and process improvement initiatives
- Experience supporting audits and financial inventory processes
