The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to join Litchfield Council's Executive Leadership Team in a full-time permanent capacity, leading a diverse and critical portfolio across Corporate Services. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will play a central role in driving strategic outcomes, strengthening organisational performance, and delivering high-quality services to the community.
You will take ownership of a broad and influential portfolio, including:
- Finance and Rates
- Customer Service
- Information Services and Information Management
- Human Resources and Work Health and Safety
- Payroll
This role is about more than operational oversight. You will be a key advisor to the CEO and Council, contributing to strategy, governance, and decision-making at the highest level while ensuring services are delivered efficiently, ethically, and with a strong customer focus.

About You
You are an experienced senior leader who thrives in complex and politically aware environments. You bring a strong commercial mindset, balanced with a commitment to community outcomes.
You will demonstrate:
- Proven executive leadership experience, ideally within local government or a multi-functional environment
- Strong financial and strategic planning capability, with experience managing budgets and long-term financial plans
- The ability to lead, inspire and develop high-performing teams
- Sound judgement and the ability to navigate sensitive and complex issues
- A collaborative approach, with the confidence to influence at CEO and Council level
Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, business, or a related discipline are highly regarded, with CPA or similar professional membership considered advantageous.
