We're expanding our leadership capacity across our service. This is a rare opportunity to join us as a Team Leader, with multiple roles available resulting from internal movement & promotion. These three Branch Team Leader roles are an investment in our future, giving you the opportunity to step into a visible leadership role and help shape what contemporary library services look like in a rapidly evolving community.

Footscray (Full-Time)
Lead a large team at our busiest branch which delivers a demanding seven-day service. Play a key role in shaping the future through the exciting Creative West project. This role includes 1 in 2 Friday evening shifts and one weekend shift per quarter.
Maribyrnong (0.8-1.0 FTE)
Lead a small team in a high-traffic location near Highpoint. Build strong partnerships with the shopping centre and co-located Living Museum to create a dynamic community space. This role includes 1 in 4 Thursday evening shifts and one weekend shift per quarter.
West Footscray (0.8-1.0 FTE)
Lead a close-knit team in a much-loved neighbourhood library. A warm, community-focused environment with strong engagement from local families. This role includes evening program delivery as rostered and one weekend shift per quarter.
What You'll Bring
- Experience working in a library environment and proven ability to lead, coach and motivate teams in busy service settings
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and eligibility for ALIA associate membership
- Strong capability to translate strategy into local impact
- Experience building partnerships and working collaboratively
- Confidence with collections, digital tools and information services
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for engaging diverse communities
