Are you currently studying or looking to commence a Degree in Civil Engineering?
Upper Lachlan Shire Council is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual, keen to drive forward their career and are ready to hit the ground running.
As you complete your studies, while making satisfactory progress throughout all aspects of the course, the team at Upper Lachlan will guide and mentor you as you get to assist in the coordination of real-life Engineering Services that impact our community. From completing research and preparing reports to undertaking the survey and design of civil infrastructure and everything in between, you'll love the opportunity to apply your study to your work and vice versa.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following capabilities and knowledge:
- Ability to work as part of a team
- A can-do attitude, willingness to learn and develop new skills and knowledge
- Ability to work safely and follow instructions
- Commitment to full term of the cadetship and study requirements
- Ongoing commitment to safety, quality and principles of continuous improvement
- Basic understanding of WHS issues applying to workplaces
- Preferred completion of Higher School Certificate
- Manual Drivers Licence (P1 or above)
- WHS Construction Induction (White Card)
During your cadetship, you'll be employed by us, while completing on-the-job training. We will provide you with ongoing mentoring and support to help you achieve your career goals and unleash your true potential.

- Hourly rates from $18.00 per hour (gross) plus superannuation (Council's Salary System and the Local Government State Award)
