Maintenance Attendant - Permanent Full-Time & Casual Opportunities

We are recruiting to fill:
- One Permanent Full-Time position (38 hours per week), and
- Establish a Casual Pool, with opportunities that may lead to permanent full-time employment in the future.

About the role
As a Maintenance Attendant, you will assist with the construction, maintenance and cleaning of civil infrastructure and public assets across the Coffs Harbour LGA.
Your work will include:
- Road, footpath, cycleway and drainage maintenance
- Cleaning and upkeep of streets, parks and public amenities
- Maintenance of roadside assets such as signage, bus stops and guideposts
- Operation of small plant, tools, trucks and equipment
- Using mobile devices to receive work and report completed tasks
You will be part of a supportive team responding to routine maintenance, emergency works and on‑call requirements as needed.
About you
You are a practical, team-oriented individual who takes pride in delivering quality work and contributing to safe, well-maintained public spaces. You enjoy working outdoors, can adapt to changing priorities, and understand the importance of safety, teamwork and customer service when working in a public-facing environment.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate III in Civil Construction/Maintenance Operations or similar, and/or demonstrated significant experience in a relevant field.
- National Construction Induction Certificate (Whitecard).
- Class MR Driver's Licence (or must obtain at your own cost within 6 months from appointment).

- Competitive salary from $57,342.20 per annum + 12% superannuation, dependent on skills and experience
- 38-hour working week

Casual Pool opportunity
- Competitive Salary (from $29.10/hour) depending on your capabilities and experience + 25% Casual Loading + 12% Superannuation
