Senior Procurement Officer/Manager

Rinnai has become one of the foremost leaders in supplying advanced heating, cooling, hot water, solar and lifestyle appliances into the Australian domestic and commercial domains, with a history spanning five decades. An outstanding opportunity has arisen within our Manufacturing and Technical Division in Braeside for an experienced and motivated Procurement Specialist to manage and co-ordinate suppliers to meet the company's goals in regards to quality, delivery and cost to ensure reliable supply of conforming goods and services to the business, reporting to the General Manager Mtec.

Core responsibilities of the position include:

  • Accountability for the formulation, development and implementation of purchasing strategies with the objective of meeting business requirements for assurance of supply, quality, service, cost and innovation and regulatory compliance.
  • Align procurement strategies with those for the customer site/commercial business and relevant sourcing groups.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of goods/services that meet business requirements.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies where required in conjunction with site functions, e.g. Quality, Finance, Logistics, Service
  • Contribute to the formulation of annual capital and operating budgets.
  • Implement stock reduction programs.
  • Monitor supplier performance, raising Non Conformances as necessary.

Ultimate key selection requirements that are required include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in supply chain, engineering or management
  • Business acumen and results focus.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous air conditioning, refrigeration and/or manufacturing industry experience.
