Team Leader- Disability Services

Are you a supportive, hands-on leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred support? We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee the daily operations of our Disability Services program and to lead a dedicated team that delivers meaningful, empowering support to participants.

About the Role

As a Team Leader, you will provide on-site leadership to Disability Support Workers and Key Workers across our day programs or supported independent living (SIL) services. You will coordinate service delivery, ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, and foster a positive, inclusive and trauma-informed work environment.

This role requires a balance of operational management, staff leadership, and participant engagement to ensure supports are responsive, safe, and aligned with individual goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring high-quality participant support.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, mentoring and performance guidance to staff.
  • Coordinate rosters, staff availability and shift coverage to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, compliance records and progress notes in line with NDIS requirements.
  • Implement quality and safeguarding processes, including incident reporting and risk management.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with participants, families, guardians and allied health professionals.
  • Support program development, service improvements and continuous improvement activities.
  • Lead internal team meetings and contribute to cross-service collaboration.

About You

You will bring:

  • Experience in disability, community or human services, ideally in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS, person-centred practice and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive team culture.
  • Strong organisational and administrative capabilities, including documentation and compliance.
  • Ability to work in dynamic environments and respond calmly to complex or challenging situations.
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement.

Mandatory Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Children or Vulnerable People Check
  • First Aid & CPR
  • Driver's licence and access to a registered, insured vehicle
  • Completion of required NDIS modules
