Museum Officer (Part-Time)

Tuesday - Friday 9:45AM - 4:15PM

Approximately 24hrs per week

Hourly rate: $39.60 hourly plus superannuation

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Museum Officer to join the Bunbury Museum and Heritage Centre team.

This is a part-time role, working Tuesday to Friday, providing frontline support to visitors and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the museum.

About the Role

As a Museum Officer, you will be the welcoming face of the museum, ensuring visitors enjoy an engaging and informative experience. You will provide information about exhibitions and programs and assist with museum activities.

Key responsibilities

• Welcoming and assisting visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Providing information about exhibitions, displays and programs
• Supporting museum activities, events and educational programs
• General front-of-house operations
• Contributing to a positive and inclusive visitor experience

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with the community and contributing to a vibrant cultural environment.

Some outside of business hours or weekend work may be required on occasion to support museum events.

About you:

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• A genuine interest in local history, heritage or museums
• The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• A proactive and reliable approach to work
• Experience in customer service, hospitality, tourism or a similar environment
