The National Tertiary Education Union (NSW) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Field Organiser for our NSW Division. The role is part-time (0.5) and is based at the University of Newcastle Branch Office in Newcastle.
Shape the future of higher education
As a member of our Field Organising Team, you will help build union strength on the ground in Newcastle and surrounding areas.
You will contribute to:
- Workplace-based recruitment efforts and issue-driven organising.
- Developing delegates and activists into confident workplace leaders.
- Supporting enterprise bargaining and disputes campaigns through mobilisation and collective action.

About the NTEU (NSW Division)
The National Tertiary Education Union is the federally registered union representing staff in and around higher education. In NSW, we cover all 10 public universities, their student organisations, research institutes and associated entities.

Salary range is as per NTEU Staff Enterprise Agreement 2024-2027 Level 5 ($99,447 - $107,519 FTE per annum, plus 17% superannuation).
