Finance Manager

About the role

You will play a pivotal role in managing the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, strong compliance and effective cashflow and cost management.

Working closely with the General Managers and Board, this role provides financial insight to support business growth, improve performance and strengthen decision‑making. You'll oversee the finance and IT function, engage with key external stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement across systems and processes.

You'll be joining a smooth, efficient and well‑governed business that's ready for you to lead into the next phase of growth. .

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing financial governance, risk management and compliance.
  • Overseeing the preparation and presentation of 5 year strategic plan.
  • Leading the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Managing cash flow and working capital to support business needs.
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly management reports.
  • Collaborating with IT service providers to drive continuous improvement and automation.
  • Managing day to day financial operations including AP, AR, tax, payroll and month end.

This is a full time role 8am-4pm, however we offer some family friendly flexibility with start and finish times if required and would consider 4 days per week for the right person.

About You

You will be an energetic professional who is ready for your next step into a strategic role. You enjoy being part of a friendly and nimble team with a customer focus.

With strong stakeholder management skills, you are confident in your ability to work across key business pillars, adding value with financial insights and analytics.

To be successful, you'll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in your field
  • A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or related field with CA/CPA or equivalent
  • In-depth knowledge of the Corporations Act, Australian Accounting Standards and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong MS Office skills and ERP system experience (Netsuite or similar).
  • Experience with family owned businesses and /or professional accounting practice is preferred but not essential.

​A sense of humour will also set you in good stead, as we enjoy a laugh in the office!
