About the role

This position sits within the AOD Outreach cluster and is responsible for the delivery of high quality and safe programs. This role is a key leadership position with operational responsibilities for delivering improve health, wellbeing, housing, and social outcomes for individuals affected by alcohol, drugs, and homelessness in Melbourne's Inner Northwest.

The City Street Health team conducts assertive outreach in the Melbourne CBD to address immediate consumer needs and connect them with integrated care, supported by case workers. The service model features a blend of peer support and clinically trained professionals, operating daily in two shifts.

Your duties will include

  • Providing leadership to the outreach teams, through various means, including but not limited to: facilitating team ‘huddles' at shift handover times, 'on-the-job' training, coaching, timely feedback, training, and guidance.
  • Contributing to Practice Reflection sessions.
  • Delivering individual feedback through ‘supervision' and Performance Development Reviews.
  • Participate in outreach activities.
  • Expertly analyses available data to produce actionable intelligence for the team.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. Certificate 4 Alcohol and Other Drugs or higher, Community Development, Social Work).
  • Demonstrated team leadership in a community or public health organisation working with marginalised populations.
  • Demonstrated experience developing positive team culture.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising and coaching staff to deliver quality care outcomes, lifting performance when necessary
  • Victorian Driver's License
