The City of Coffs Harbour is seeking a proactive and capable Maintenance Coordinator Urban to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of maintenance services across our city's urban roads, footpaths, drainage and transport infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to guide a dedicated team, strengthen service outcomes, and make a visible impact on the community every day.
About the role
As a key leader within Transport Services, you will ensure essential maintenance works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Your work will help keep our streets functioning, our community safe, and our city moving.
In this dynamic leadership role, you will:
- Lead and coordinate day labour and contract teams delivering operational and maintenance works
- Oversee daily work programming, resource allocation, and delivery against budgets
- Drive performance, staff development, and workforce capability through coaching, mentoring and onboarding
- Ensure works meet safety, environmental and technical standards
- Monitor asset condition and support the effective use of maintenance and asset management systems
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, government agencies and members of the public
- Promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement and high-quality service delivery

About you
We're looking for a leader who thrives in operational environments and brings strong knowledge of civil construction or infrastructure maintenance. You will be confident juggling priorities, solving complex problems and guiding teams to meet targets while upholding safety and quality.
You will bring:
- Certificate IV in Civil Construction, Asset Management, Project Management or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in civil construction and/or infrastructure maintenance
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong planning, communication and problem‑solving skills
- A commitment to safety, teamwork and excellent service
