About the Opportunity

The NTEU (NSW Division) is seeking two experienced Industrial Officers to join our team based in Surry Hills.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage a diverse and complex caseload, representing members in workplace matters and disputes
  • Prepare and run matters before the Fair Work Commission, tribunals and courts
  • Provide expert advice to bargaining teams and lead enterprise negotiations
  • Research and analyse industrial, governance and WHS issues
  • Mentor organisers and delegates to strengthen collective capability
  • Work collaboratively within a growing, high-performing industrial team

The university sector is undergoing significant change. As an Industrial Officer, you will contribute to:

  • Enterprise bargaining and protected industrial action delivering meaningful improvements in pay and conditions
  • Legislative reform focused on university governance and accountability
  • Work Health & Safety enforcement, particularly workload and psychosocial risks
  • Strategic litigation to protect secure work, intellectual freedom and political expression

Salary is in accordance with the NTEU National Staff Agreement Level 7 ($127,409 - $140,667 per annum plus 17% superannuation).
