About the role:

We're looking for a talented Graphic Designer to bring creative consistency and visual excellence across all our digital channels, print media, and promotional materials. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on innovation, values strong brand identity, and enjoys collaborating with diverse stakeholders to produce culturally responsible and impactful design.

• You have a strong eye for detail and a passion for innovative, high-quality design.
• You're confident working across both digital and print mediums.
• You value collaboration and are respectful of cultural knowledge and creative contributions.
• You stay curious, continually developing your skills and keeping pace with design trends and tools.

What We're Looking For

We need someone who shares our values of One, Respect, Accountability, Courage, and Resilience. The ideal candidate will have:

• Demonstrated commitment to Council values of One, Respect, Accountability, Courage and Resilience.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) or equivalent.
• 3-5 years experience in a design and communications role (agency or in-house).
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, deadlines and projects.
• CASA compliant drone licence, with strong skills in photography, videography, drone operations, and audio/video editing.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience engaging diverse stakeholder groups.
• Proven experience delivering digital, social media and print campaigns.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

This role requires occasional travel, including visits to communities throughout the Torres Strait Islands.
