About the role
The Community Engagement worker contributes to community-facing functions of the Local by supporting engagement, partnership, co-design and community capacity building activities. The role assists to embed lived experience, human rights, cultural safety and trauma-informed practice in all community interfaces, and collects community insights to inform planning, service improvement and stigma-reduction efforts.

Your duties include:
- Facilitate Community Engagement strategies and activities across diverse communities in the Mental Health and Wellbeing Local (MH&WL) in the Maribyrnong catchment area
- Support consumers in the Wyndham community who are members of the West Consumer Reference Group to ensure their perspectives lead to authentic and impactful influence on service planning, delivery and review.
- Develop inclusive health promotion resources and culturally tailored activities
- Support the planning, coordination and evaluation of engagement and health promotion (mental health and wellbeing) activities
