About the role
The Client Service Officer (CSO) is the first point of contact for clients who access cohealth's Central City Community Health Service which provides a health response to individuals who are rough sleeping or experiencing homelessness. The CSO manages client reception, appointments, and general administrative support helping clients access onsite services.

Your duties include:
- Promptly respond to enquiries from clients and visitors whether face to face or by telephone, receiving and accounting for all consumers who present to the service
- Manage reception, waiting areas including ensuring the waiting room and other client areas remain neat and hazard free
- Participate in efficient health and support needs triage processes, including crisis response as needed
- Responsible for the management of the client record in accordance with cohealth policies and procedures

Our ideal candidate:
- Experience or qualifications as a community health or medical receptionist, or proven capability in a similar role
- Experience in working within a dynamic, fast paced environment, and responding to crisis situations as they emerge
- Basic understanding of accounting systems and procedures such as accounts payable
and receivable, petty cash management, ordering equipment, and invoicing
- Strong belief and personal alignment in cohealth Values and Mission

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC), a Working With Children Check (WWCC), complete a Pre-Employment Declaration Form, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination.
