Sales Representative - Industrial / Capital Equipment

In this autonomous role, you will be responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities for our compressed air products and service solutions. You'll thrive here if you can confidently understand your customers, their operating environments and key requirements.

Based in Adelaide, with some travel to regional surrounds, your responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively networking and generating leads/prospects with a new business development focus
  • Preparation of quotes and tender responses
  • Actively seeking opportunities to increase share-of-wallet with existing customers
  • Participating in marketing events such as seminars and trade shows
  • Identifying and resolving client concerns and issues to build trust and long term relationships
  • Liaising with warehouse, production and service teams to ensure an outstanding customer journey from sale to delivery and installation

You will enjoy being independent, whilst also being part of a well-resourced team, with support to help you focus on what you do best.

About you

You are a successful sales professional who is looking for a fresh challenge with opportunity to progress in a global business. You appreciate the best and will thrive working with a renowned and globally recognised brand.

To be successful, you'll bring:

  • 8+ years of capital sales/solution selling experience in the industrial, mining or heavy equipment sector
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly
  • Well refined negotiating and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and deliver on revenue targets
  • Ability to relate to people at all levels
  • Computer literacy - Excel, Powerpoint. Experience with SAP is a benefit but not essential.
  • A related tertiary qualification will be well regarded

It goes without saying that you have a commitment to total customer satisfaction and take pride in your results. A sense of humour will also set you in good stead!
