Your new role
As Team Leader, Youth Services, you will play a vital role in Kids First's Victorian leadership team. Leading a team of youth practitioners, you will deliver high-quality, community-based services to support young people experiencing homelessness or community disconnection. This includes managing and developing a team, ensuring service standards, meeting reporting requirements, and fostering partnerships across the sector to promote Kids First's mission and values. This includes:
- Overseeing a team of up to 10 practitioners across multiple sites, offering supervision, training, and fostering a high-performance team culture.
- Ensuring adherence to practice standards, manage client feedback, and maintain compliance with Kids First policies and funding requirements.
- Cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community organisations, and philanthropic partners, to strengthen community impact.
- Managing program budgets, identify funding opportunities, and contribute to ongoing risk management and quality improvements.
About you:
- You have relevant qualifications in Youth Work, Community Development, or Management.
- You're a confident people manager with at 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within youth or community services.
- You lead from the front with the ability to support each unique member of your team, with a commitment to professional development.
- You have a strong understanding of issues facing young people, including family violence and homelessness.
