About the role
This role supports the clinical oversight of Therapeutic Services by facilitating group supervision, participating in case reviews, and embedding the outcomes framework within the programs. Working closely with Therapeutic Services Team Leaders to provide clinical consultations on high-risk cases using a Trauma-Informed and Family Therapy lens to strengthen family system and improve outcomes for children and young people. The role also includes a reduced, high-complexity caseload.
You will:
- Facilitate group supervision, reflective practice, and participate in case review panels
- Complete assessments, provide therapeutic interventions, and consult on high-risk cases
- Support implementation of the outcomes framework and promote Kids First practice principles
- Contribute to clinical governance and offer secondary consultation to Intake and Engagement teams
- Provide clinical support and consultancy through reviews and professional forums
- Ensure high-quality, collaborative responses for clients across service networks
- Build and maintain relationships within the family violence and sexual abuse sectors
- Liaise with agencies to strengthen referral pathways and deliver community education as needed
- Engage in supervision, reflective practice, and evaluation using evidence-based tools
- Participate in clinical reviews and contribute to innovative, research-informed interventions
- Support program fidelity and continuous practice improvement
- Provide clinical supervision and lead reflective practice and clinical review sessions
- Offer practice leadership during complex case discussions and organisational reviews
About you:
- Hold a tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, child and family social welfare or related discipline.
- Excellent understanding of evidence-based theories and frame works applicable to therapeutic services
- Demonstrated experience in the leadership of multidisciplinary teams, including the provision of clinical group supervision and mentorship in the therapeutic services
- Have extensive counselling experience as well as proven experience leading a counselling program and managing waitlist demands
- Proven experience in the trauma, family violence and sexual abuse field within similar organisations, possess a strong knowledge of the sexual abuse service system, including all relevant legislation and standards
- Advance knowledge of and experience in the use of current theoretical approaches and best practices for working with children, young people and their families
- Demonstrated capability to network and build productive relationships with stakeholders both inside and outside organisational boundaries.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead and support change, and innovation and contribute to quality improvements at an organisational/operational level.
