About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified and motivated Electrician to join our Water and Sewerage team, you will be responsible for electrical and communication systems inspections, testing, maintenance and installations across our critical infrastructure.

Key duties include

• Providing electrical and communications systems breakdown maintenance and repair
• Conduction inspections, testing, scheduled maintenance and asset renewals
• Installing, programming and calibrating electrical control and communications equipment
• Building and installing complex Switch and Control Gear Assemblies
• Supervising contractors and mentoring apprentices
• Participating in the electrical on-call roster

Requirements for the role

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
• Certificate IV in Electrotechnology Systems or Electrical Instrumentations or a willingness and ability to obtain within two years with Council's assistance
• Qualified Supervisor certificate for electrical works
• Demonstrated experience in water and.sewer electrical systems
• Class C Drivers Licence
• WHS Construction Induction Card
• Ability to obtain First Aid and Confined Spaces certificate
• Strong planning, organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
