Your new role:
The primary purpose of the Accounts Assistant position is to manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable sub-ledgers of the organization in an accurate and timely manner.
The focus will be to maintain accurate financial records and provide customer service to business units throughout the organization as required.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Previous experience in Finance/ERP systems is desirable
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing accurate and timely financial reports and efficient record keeping.
- Intermediate skills and demonstrated experience using Excel spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of GST.
- Proven experience of successfully communicating and coaching non-finance people around financial concepts.
- Previous experience in the not-for-profit sector is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently; use initiative; ability to problem solve.
- Ability to produce high quality work with minimal supervision while working to tight deadlines.
- Must have a 'can do' attitude; and 'hands on' approach.
