Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors, getting stuck into hands-on work, and making a real difference in your community? We're looking for Works Assistants to help maintain the City's parks, playgrounds, reserves, public amenities Botanic Gardens and green spaces.
About the role:
In this varied, on-the-go role, you'll:
- Keep our public spaces clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Support horticultural, turf maintenance and Botanic Gardens programs
- Operate equipment and assist with small plant and truck tasks
- Use mobile technology to plan and report on work
- Be part of a team that takes pride in keeping the City looking great!
What you'll bring:
- Cert III in Horticulture, Civil Construction or relevant experience
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- A passion for working outdoors and a strong work ethic
- Reliability, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Bonus points for: MR licence, Chemical Accreditation, First Aid, or Traffic Control experience.

- $29.51 per hour + 12% superannuation
- Multiple Permanent Full-Time positions of 38 hours per week
