Are you a motivated and focused Early Childhood Educator looking for an exciting new challenge? Anglicare (NSW South, West & ACT) is a not-for-profit organisation seeking applications for a Diploma-qualified Educator to work across our Early Learning and Out of School Hours programs at Southern Cross Early Learning, located on the campus of Southern Cross Early Childhood School.

The Opportunity

As a Diploma qualified Educator at Southern Cross Early Learning service, you will mentor and support other Educators, role modelling high quality practice with a strong focus on child safety and wellbeing. You will assist in leading the development of innovative and responsive educational programs informed by the principles, practices, and outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework, My Time, Our Place, and the National Quality Standards. You will establish warm, nurturing relationships with each child and friendly, supportive relationships with their families while attending to children's learning and well-being throughout the day.
You will also assist the service to ensure compliance through contributing to service policies and maintaining accurate documentation of children's learning and development.

What's needed to succeed?

  • An ACECQA approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care - please note, accelerated Graduate Diploma qualifications will NOT be considered for this position.
  • Minimum 12 months experience working in Early Learning settings.
  • A deep commitment to ensuring children's wellbeing and safety.
  • Demonstrated awareness of mandatory reporting obligations.
  • Ability to develop appropriate and sustained relationships with children and their families.
  • Ability to assist in the design and implementation high quality Educational programs for young children based on the Early Years Learning Framework, My Time, Our Place Framework, National Quality Standards and the service's educational philosophy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with parents, children, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Current First Aid, CPR Asthma & Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain.
  • A valid Working with Vulnerable People card (ACT)
