The Opportunity
We are seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our Executive Team as the Executive Director of Community Support Services. This role is pivotal in shaping service delivery, driving innovation, and ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and community needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic direction and operational excellence across Early Learning, Retirement Living, and Housing services.
- Oversee multidisciplinary teams delivering services in Early Learning, Retirement Living, and Housing across multiple regions.
- Manage budgets, funding applications, and financial reporting to ensure sustainability and efficiency.
- Mentor senior leaders, foster a positive workplace culture, and support professional development.
- Build strong relationships with government, community organisations, and advocacy groups.
- Ensure adherence to legislation, funding requirements, and quality assurance standards.
- Represent Anglicare at sector forums and act as a key spokesperson for community support initiatives.
Selection Criteria
- Relevant bachelor's degree (master's degree desirable) in appropriate discipline such as Human Services, Social Work, Community Development, Early Childhood Education or Business Administration.
- Proven experience in executive or senior leadership roles.
- Extensive service coordination and operational management experience in the community services sector - including oversight of multidisciplinary teams, sites, and diverse activities.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profits, service users, and the broader community.
- Skilled at representing Anglicare's interests in high-level meetings, sector forums, and partnership development.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience in budget development, monitoring variance reports, financial forecasting, and ensuring the financial sustainability of services.
- Proven strategic leadership abilities with a track record of managing complex, multi-faceted services and inspiring teams to achieve excellence.
- Demonstrated supervision and people management skills with an authentic, collaborative approach that enables teams to perform at their best.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage change in a dynamic and evolving environment.
