Surveillance and Parking Solutions Officer

  • Competitive Salary: Level 3/4 $78,249 to $85,560 + 12% superannuation
  • Full Time Permanent Role

Are you passionate about public safety, efficient parking systems, and smart city infrastructure? We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Surveillance and Parking Solutions Officer to join our Ranger Services Team. In this critical role, you will help ensure the safe, legal, and efficient use of the City's parking and public spaces while supporting our community through the use of modern surveillance technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage the City's CCTV and surveillance systems in line with privacy and data protection standards
  • Enforce parking regulations through regular patrols and use of automated systems
  • Investigate parking violations and support the resolution of disputes professionally and fairly
  • Support community safety initiatives through active surveillance and reporting of suspicious activity
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, enforcement actions, and equipment performance
  • Liaise with law enforcement, contractors, and the public to ensure parking and surveillance systems operate efficiently
  • Contribute to policy development and system improvements for traffic flow and parking management

About You:

  • Experience in enforcement, security, parking operations, or surveillance roles
  • Strong understanding of data protection, surveillance laws, and parking regulations
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Comfortable using digital systems, CCTV software, and handheld enforcement devices
  • Ability to work independently and make sound judgments under pressure
  • Committed to public service and improving the local community
