Join Our Team as a General Practitioner at The Junction!

Are you a compassionate and experienced GP with a heart for young people?

We're looking for a dedicated General Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team at The Junction Youth Health Service, where we deliver primary health care and holistic support to young people aged 12 to 25, especially those who are homeless or at risk.

This is a part-time position, with flexibility to work up to four days per week.

What you'll be doing:

  • Deliver comprehensive primary health care to young people and their children, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, referral, and advocacy.
  • Order and follow up on diagnostic tests, ensuring results are communicated and appropriate recalls are managed.
  • Collaborate and refer to external providers, including general practices, specialists, and allied health services across the ACT region.
  • Document clinical care accurately to meet medical, privacy, and ACT Health Directorate reporting standards.
  • Provide clinical guidance to the treating team and actively contribute to quality improvement and service excellence.
  • Uphold trauma-informed and culturally inclusive practices, including implementation of the Sanctuary Model and alignment with Anglicare's values.
  • Participate in supervision, training, and professional development, maintaining vocational registration and knowledge of General Practice standards.

What we're looking for:

  • Vocational Registration as a GP, with ongoing participation in quality assurance and continuing professional development.
  • Minimum of 2 years as a General Practitioner, with knowledge of the needs of vulnerable young people and their families.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
