About the Role
This role is responsible for the planning and development of Council's waste strategies and associated plans and programs, together with professional support for the ongoing development and compliance requirements associated with landfills and transfer stations. The position also has a role to play in the provision of high-level support for Council waste operations activities and oversees the staff and assets of the Waste Infrastructure Unit as well as coordinating waste education campaigns to the general public.

About You
The successful candidate will have a relevant degree or advanced diploma and at least five years of relevant technical experience, which may be in a broad range of engineering functions but includes municipal works or relevant infrastructure; knowledge of the planning and operation of a landfill and EPA legislation; knowledge of Sustainability and Circular Economy legislation and principles
