Early Years Services Liaison Officer

We are currently seeking a passionate and community-focused Early Years Services Liaison Officer to join our team! In this role, you'll work closely with Early Years Educators and management committees to support strategic planning across early years services. Based within the Community Services Directorate, this position plays a vital role in building professional capacity and nurturing strong partnerships that support the wellbeing and development of children and families throughout the Nillumbik community.
What a typical day will look like;
- Act as the primary liaison between Council and early years education and care providers.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative partnerships with service providers and committees of management.
- Provide strategic support and guidance to services to enhance quality and responsiveness.
- Facilitate information sharing between providers, Council teams, and the Department of Education.
- Review feedback and identify opportunities to improve Council processes and support services' operations.
What you will bring to the role;
- Qualification and/or relevant experience in Early Years Education and Care Services
- Background in working with licensed education and care services
- Experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with community groups and service providers
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with community groups and service providers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective conversations and problem-solving.
- Experience in setting up systems and processes to support service delivery.
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work to achieve agreed objectives and expectations of customers
- Confident using Microsoft Office and other computer systems.
