Are you a strategic communicator passionate about building trust, transparency, and meaningful community connections? We're looking for a dynamic Communications and Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team and lead the delivery of impactful communication and engagement services across Council. In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with the Manager Advocacy Communications and Engagement to enhance Council's reputation and ensure our community is well-informed, engaged, and heard. If you're motivated by purpose-driven work and have a track record of strategic leadership in communications, we'd love to hear from you!
What a typical day will look like;
- Lead a team of communication dynamos
- Oversee Council's communication and community engagement functions
- Positively influence Council's reputation in the community through social media and media management, research-based campaigns and regular written communications
- Explore best practice community engagement opportunities
What you will bring to the role;
- Extensive experience in designing and delivering proactive communications and issues management strategies
- Detailed knowledge of strategic social media management and community engagement fundamentals
- Solid experience in leading a team of communications specialists
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
