The Opportunity

Are you a compassionate and experienced leader who is passionate about supporting both your team and the families you support? We are looking for a dedicated Family Relationship Services Team Leader to lead the Children's Contact Service, Financial Counselling and Parenting Orders Programs located in our Albury Office, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, effective, and client-focused services for children and parents.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and best practice standards while fostering a supportive and professional environment for both staff and clients. Your leadership will enhance service delivery, uphold client-centered care, and contribute to the ongoing professional development of your team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for managing the clinical, administrative, and supervisory aspects of the Children's Contact Service, Financial Counselling, and Parenting Orders Program.
  • Ensuring high-quality service delivery in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Providing strong leadership and mentoring to staff, promoting professional growth and job satisfaction.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to support the broader strategic direction of Family Relationship Services (FRS).
  • Contributing to strategic planning and development as part of the FRS leadership team.

Your Experience

To be considered for this role, you must hold a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, Community Welfare Practice, or a related field. Additional qualifications in management will be highly regarded.

Your expertise in service delivery, staff management, and program development within the child and family sector is essential. Strong leadership skills, including the ability to guide and develop high-performing teams, along with high emotional intelligence and exceptional written and verbal communication skills, will be highly advantageous.

Practical experience supporting clients through family separation, conflict, and complex issues, such as family violence, mental health challenges, and substance misuse will be highly valued in this role.
