Due to movements within the team, we're now looking for two Senior Clinical Practitioners to join our welcoming, experienced and well-established Sexual Abuse Counselling & Prevention Program.
About the role
As a Senior Practitioner you will utilise your leadership skills to provide senior support and leadership within the team, including supervision of staff. This involves responding to the needs of children, young people, and families who are affected by family violence, child wellbeing and other social issues.
You will be responsible for holding a reduced active case load with higher levels of practice and complexity and be responsible for providing senior casework consultancy to the broader team. You are passionate, experienced and ready to make an impact on the life trajectories of children and young people.
What we're looking for
- You hold a tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, counselling or a related discipline.
- You have a minimum of 3-5 years' experience working with parents and their children who have experienced sexual abuse or present with harmful sexualised behaviours and their families.
- You have a knack for applying organisational practice models, procedures, theoretical frameworks, and relevant legislation when working with clients and in a broader team context
- You're an independent achiever who can take responsibility for independent work outputs while supporting other team members as well.
If you don't have Senior experience already, don't fret. Previous experience of acting up or performing higher duties is also highly desirable.
